Scalp micropigmentation is a non-surgical resolution to restore the appearance of the scalp. Natural and organic microdots are placed with a single needle tattoo gun at the epidermal level to mimic a real hair follicle.

Who is a good candidate for scalp micropigmentation?
SMP is suitable for all skin types, ages and stages of hair loss. Note: patients with autoimmune diseases, blood diseases or has been on Accutane are excluded from receiving treatment.
Is SMP permanent?
SMP is permanent; a touch up every 3-6 years will be required depending on the individual’s desired look, lifestyle and immune system will very on results. SMP will only fade in color, it will not discolor. SMP can be removed with laser or with a color lift if desired look changes over the years.
What does SMP do?
SMP gives the appearance of a fuller more youthful head of hair, corrects uneven hairlines, camouflage all levels of alopecia, and camouflages FUE and FUT hair transplant surgery scars.
How much does SMP cost?
SMP has an hourly cost of $300. Each treatment can be anywhere from 1-4 hours depending on the coverage needed. Each person will very but an individual can have 1-6+ sessions. We do occasionally have specials that are posted monthly on our Specials & Events page.
Is SMP painful?
The pain level with scalp micropigmentation will vary from person to person depending on the pain threshold. On a scale from 1-5, 1 being the lowest most patients rate it as a 1 and are pretty comfortable throughout the entire treatment. At any point, breaks can be taken or topical numbing cream can be given to numb the scalp.
What to expect with recovery from scalp micropigmentation
Following your scalp micropigmention procedure, an entire week is needed for a full recovery. However, the redness should subside within 2-3 days and the scabs will usually come off on the fifth or sixth day. The pigments will look pretty dark right after treatment, but they should lighten up by the end of the week. The hair pattern that is then seen may not be exactly what was expected, but this will be corrected in the next treatment session. The initial design will come into effect by the end of treatment and once the pigments have held up for a month after the last treatment, final approval will be given.
