Top Hair Restoration Doctors of Salt Lake City, UT

So, you’ve done your research, or you may have already been exploring at home hair treatments to address thinning or loss. They may or may have not helped and you are considering new options or even hair transplant surgery. You’ve done the best to save what’s left on your scalp, but it’s time to seek out a professional. But you can’t just trust anyone when it comes to more invasive treatments and procedures.

Hair restoration is more advanced than ever. UFP Hair Restoration surgeons have both the creative eye and the surgical experience that is extremely crucial when it comes to hair restoration surgery, both are extremely important to achieve the most natural looking results.

Follicular Unit Transplant

The first hair transplant method was the Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT or Strip Method). This technique is tried-and-true and is still a popular hair transplant option. The strip method involves removing a strip of hair from the area that is most resistant to balding, the back of the scalp. This technique does leave a linear scar on the back of the scalp, making it ideal for individuals who wear their hair slightly longer.

Follicular Unit Extraction

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is performed with the most advanced follicular unit harvesting and implantation system, NeoGraft. The FUE method has quickly become the most popular method used when it comes to hair transplant surgery because it does not involve any incisions, which means less downtime. This method is a sub-type of FUT, and in many ways is similar.
