Funny man, Jason Gray, of Utah’s hit show Studio C receives hair transplant surgery in Utah from Dr. Scott Thompson of Utah Hair MD.
We were excited to have Jason Gray in the office for hair transplant surgery and can say he’s as nice as he funny and couldn’t be a better patient. After having a full consultation with Dr. Thompson a few months ago, plans were made to move forward with the FUT (follicular unit tranpslantation) for hair restoration. Instructions were given for pre and post care a few weeks before the big day.
Jason arrived early yesterday morning ready to go. Valium was given to help him relax and lidocaine injections were administered to numb the necessary areas of the scalp. After the grafts were obtained and organized, Dr. Thompson made the recipient sides on the frontal part of the scalp where the grafts were then placed strategically for the most natural result.
Jason was then able to go home with some pain medication to take over the next few days as the scaps on the top of his head heal over. Those scabs eventually fall off after 7 to 10 days and typically the hair comes out with the scab, though the follicle is still intact. Growth begins around month 3-4 and full results can be expected at 9-12 months. Hair transplant surgery is a process but is incredibly successful and the results are completely natural.
In Jason’s own words, he’s “excited to focus on his lines and not his hairline”, which is exactly what he’ll be able to do approximately nine months from now.
Dr. Thompson is a dual-certified facial plastic surgeon and hair restoration specialist with over nearly fifteen years of experience working solely on the face, neck and scalp.
