1. Credentials & Experience
Dr. Scott Thompson is a dual certified facial plastic surgeon who has spent over 15 years working solely on the face, neck and scalp only. He is well trained and experienced in how the skin heals, how to provide a natural result, and the pre and post operative recommendations that will aide in the final outcome. He also has a low rate of staff turnover with experienced medical assistants, patient care coordinators, and technicians that help make the process run as smooth as possible.
Dr. Thompson is fellowship trained in hair transplant surgery from Dr. Vito Quatela, who at the time was the president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
2. NeoGraft, FUT Hair Therapy Options
Here at Utah Hair MD, we evaluate each patient concerned with hair loss and determine together which treatment plan will best fit their needs. 4. Minimal Scarring
Anytime there is a cut in the skin there will be a scar. But, with Dr. Thompson’s skill, the incision on the back of the head with FUT hair transplant procedures is barely detectable even when looking through the hair to find the incision. FUT or strip-method procedures are only performed on patients who plan to wear their hair long enough to cover the incision. For those that like to have the option to shave their full scalp or wear their hair very short, NeoGraft is typically recommend as each graft is removed one at a time and there is no linear scar on the back of the head.
